RSS is a web technology that provides a convenient way to keep up with your blogs and news sites. There are several advantages of using RSS:
- Instead of having to visit sites one at a time, you can use a newsreader to aggregate content from multiple sources. This makes it much easier to stay up to date with your favorite sites.
- You’ll never forget about an interesting site with RSS. Once you’ve added a feed to your RSS reader, the content comes to you.
- You won’t have to keep checking your favorite sites to see if there’s a new story. Instead, your RSS reader will show you what’s new at a glance.
- Some newsreaders allow you to search content for keywords. For example, if you’re interested in heart disease, you could set up your newsreader to show you only stories containing that keyword.
There are several ways you can start using RSS feeds right away:
- Whether you’re browsing the web with Firefox, Safari, Opera, or Internet Explorer, you can read RSS feeds from within your web browser.
- If you use Firefox, you can choose from a number of RSS reader extensions.
- Some websites function as RSS readers. Google Reader has won a lot of fans.
- Finally, you can download a separate application. NetNewsWire and Vienna RSS are good choices for Mac OS X, while Windows users should check out SharpReader.
Once you’ve chosen a newsreader, you can subscribe to La Jolla Health Coach using the following feeds:
